Welcome to our website

As part of its commitment towards service to mankind, the Liaison Office of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja was established in February 2007 as a Faith Based organization. The Archdiocesan Liaison Office was created to serve as a strong link between Church and Government, and also, the entire Civil Society Organizations in bringing hope and total transformation to the people. This is in response to Christ’s instruction to serve all mankind till the end of time. Thus, it is an organization setup to carryout and to promote all activities that ensures the totality of human development especially the oppressed and disadvantaged in our society.

In doing this, Church does not isolate herself from authentic development in secular society rather, it is committed to furthering the totality of human development by moving beyond mechanical and utilitarian understanding of the human person to embrace programmes and policies which are “Worthy of Man” affirming the value of all human life and the intrinsic dignity of all person. So, the Catholic Church in Abuja has always considered social services as part of her mandate.
